How It All Works . . . .
The Getaway You've Been Looking For
Welcome to the summer's big event, the Newhouse Family Reunion for 2012!

We are hoping you are planning to come.  The Reunion is being held over the 4th of
July holiday in hopes that will make it easier for everyone to come without using up too
much of their vacation time.

The Reunion officially begins on the 4th of July with a variety of Independence Day
activities.  However, if you feel you would like to arrive a little earlier, please feel free
to do so.

The menu buttons on the left side of this page will lead you to important information
about the various activities we have scheduled, where one might stay during the Reunion,
and important information on Passports, traveling to Canada, and returning to the USA.

While you are here, feel free to attend or not attend any of the scheduled activities.
We have tried to come up with events that will be fun, but we know that everyone has
different preferences and different time schedules.

MEALS AND FOOD:  We are expecting a lot of people to be here.  We want
everyone to be able to get together to visit and to meet one another, so some of our
scheduled activities involve food and eating--great!

There are 3 kinds of meals:
1.  One kind--you are completely on your own
2.  Another kind--we all get together to eat, but everyone pays for their own food
3.  And finally----we all get together to eat, but the food is provided as part of
the Reunion, paid for by a small Registration fee that is asked of all who attend.

The overall eating/meal schedule breaks down like this:
Wednesday the 4th:
    Breakfast:  Completely on your own
    Lunch:
Provided by the Reunion--a Weenie Roast at Copper Falls
    Dinner:  Completely on your own

Thursday the 5th:
    Breakfast:
Provided by the Reunion--Chocolate Gravy breakfast, by Granny!
Lunch:  Group picnic on top of Hall Mountain, but everyone brings their own food.
    Dinner:
Provided by the Reunion--Enchiladas and Tacos at Newhouse Central

Friday the 6th:
    Breakfast:  Completely on your own
Lunch:  Group eating at Restaurant in Canada, everyone pays on their own
    Dinner:
Provided by the Reunion--Hamburgers at Newhouse Central

Saturday the 7th:
    Breakfast:  Completely on your own
Lunch:  Group banquet at the Chic-N-Chop Restaurant, pay on your own.

REGISTRATION FEE???  WHAT!!??  Yes----sorry about that, but an event this big
is going to take an operating budget to run.  We are expecting approximately 50 or so
people to attend.  We are trying to keep costs low, but please realize that the cost of
food, innertubes, snacks, supplies for games and game prizes, ammunition and
targets for the shooting activities, and various miscellaneous expenses is going to
require a bank account.  We are trying to keep costs low, and are asking what we think
is a fair and relatively small
Registration Fee:

                    Adults:      $20 per adult
                    Children:  $10 for each child

(**When does a child become an adult?  You decide, we'll be happy
                                    with your decision!
)

The Fair and Relatively Small Registration fee can be sent in advance by mail, or
can be paid when you get here.  Thanks for your understanding--it all goes to make the
Newhouse Family Reunion a big, fun event for all!

LET US KNOW WHO IS COMING:   It will be extremely helpful for us to know as
soon as possible how many to expect.  Obviously that has a big impact on our planning
and getting food together, getting the right number of innertubes, supplies, games,
activities, and general planning.

So we are asking:
Please let us know as soon as possible the
following information:

1.  If you are coming
2.  How many of you are coming
3.  The names of all those coming with you
4.  The ages of each child coming with you
5.  How many people in your group will be innertubing or not
6.  What date you plan to arrive
7.  Your contact information:  telephone, address, e-mail

As you can imagine, it is important to know how many to expect for our planning of
food and meals, and for getting the right numbers of innertubes and other necessary
supplies.

We are asking for the ages of the kids because we want to be sure to plan games and
activities that are appropriate for the ages of the kids who will be here, to make sure
they have a lot of fun, too.

So, if you are planning on attending, please put together a list as soon as possible
with the above information, and e-mail it to us at this address:

               NewhouseReunion2012@boundarycountylive.com

Thank you very much for your help with this!

CANADA:  We are assuming most people will want to take a trip into Canada while
here.  Many of those coming have never been to Canada or have never been this close
before, so we scheduled that in.  You certainly don't have to go if you don't want to, but
we have scheduled it as a group activity where we hope we can have some fun.

If you are planning on traveling to Canada with us, please be sure to read all the
information available on the Menu Buttons on the left about

                                          --Entering Canada
                                          --Returning to the USA
                                          --Passports

Also, there is
important information there that you need to know if you plan on taking
minor children with you into Canada.  Happy Reading!!

Regarding Passports--Start Early!!

FINALLY:  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, or comments, or
suggestions.  You can either reach us by telephone, or you can e-mail us at the same
e-mail address above:

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING YOU HERE, AND TO HAVING
